Tears of a Rose

© Image by Destiny to Write Publications

Blood-red roses are my mark
As bloodshed tears commence,
to fall in such heartfelt sorrow
Lapping in a pool of desolation

Tomorrow seems ever so distant
As each day becomes a new trial
One to overcome, a ceaseless battle
In which confounds the minds-eye

Longing to see, as the fates conspire
Even as one may hold destiny in hands
Nothing shall ever go according to plans
All for naught, descending into the void

Be there no reason, nor season of serenity
As the essence bleeds in ceaseless fashion
Grief-stricken, inconsolable beyond repair
Grasping unto faith, with a desire of hope

The rose shall bleed continuously in time
Elapsing in a comatose induced, disposition
Where there is no harmony, nor tranquility
Only a living nightmare infused by destiny

As darkness descends, the light fades away
I take two steps back, falling now to knees
Pleading with the heavens above in prayer
In hopes of wisdom, compassion and love

The right course of action to follow through
The guidance of the light, of enlightenment
The strength to carry on, despite adversity
With an open heart, the grace of loves gift

Losing My Mind

Lost within a loving memory
I often find myself off course
In the depths of the minds-eye
Hoping to find a new pathway

Though boggled up – confused
As to where to go – move on
When the sun no longer shine’s
As now, darkness befalls the days

Be there no smiles of yesterday
To brighten the cold winter days
Becoming numb slowly within
Freezing the core, to feel no longer

Basic instincts commence to build
An invisible shield of own creation
Attempting to appease the anguish
Growing steadfast in the essence

However, one may long for happiness
As it is out of reach – nowhere found
Only to find peace within set limits
As the night, little by little descends

Lost I am without my love – my beloved
Be it the one thing that pulls me through
Worthy of importance in darkened times
Known that destiny shall rule days ahead

Even though I may be drowning in silence
In the loss of my heart’s desire – one love
Since first sight, setting the soul on fire
Awakened once through visions revealed

Only the beloved, holds the power to awaken
The core of this existence – come alive anew
No other can replace, nor possess the power
To breathe life, make one blossom in flower

My destiny, My muse, My one inspiration
It is for you my heart calls out for, cries for
Throughout a lifetime within revelations
Knowing you exist, a missing piece of soul

Eternal Flame – Collaboration with Poet Chris Smith

                  Image Provided by Google Images

She writes from deep within her
Opening up her soul to all,
finding the words like a river
Allowing them to come, to flow

Power transformed to her fingers,
igniting the flames of her soul
Fire given form to the written page
Releasing all she has deep inside
Just like she would submit to a lover

All-consuming fire is in my essence
An eternal flame burning wildly,
never to diminish, throughout time
As it seeps through these fingers,
in unearthly passion, writ in blood

A creative mind is set into motion
Capture now this notion, if you will
As I spew forth, in depths unknown
Yet known, in the core of existence
The pulse of an unrelenting desire

I press pen unto page within love
Nevermore to please the masses
Evermore to appease the essence
I care naught for fame, nor fortune
Wishing merely to pierce the silence

In a sole purpose, right to be heard
Amongst the chaos of every day
Creating a cleverly laid design,
to ensnare those who take notice
Touching the soul of yet another

Shackles of Life

                 Image Provided by Google Images

These shackles which binds me
Awaiting a day, I shall break free
Fleeing from trials – tribulations
That leads me astray, lost in mind
In such sadness, nearly suffocating

I feel, I am alone, knowing I am not
Praying for the sun to shine, anew
Warming these cold winter nights,
the ray of light that guides my soul
Yet, here I now linger in darkness

In the profound depths of my despair
An all-consuming force holds no end
As on the extreme edge I now stand
Seeing closely the abyss that awaits
Drowning in the deepest of sorrows

In close surroundings, immoral acts
As serpent tongues persist to maim
Spitting vile venom, in their wake
Without remorse, query to inflictions
Pushing over the edge, into the void

Where darkness, now becomes a haven
As the night brings solace unto the soul
Tranquility found in an orb of self-creation
Searching deeply for the strength to surface
Into the gift of loves grace, to enlightenment

Basic instincts rule the core of this existence
Where feline senses come to full awareness
Knowing despite the fall, I shall arise anew
Landing on all fours, pouncing back on track
Taking the reins in finding a way back home

Memoirs of Love

                           Image Provided by Google Images

Here I am, on the outside
Now looking, as I ponder
On the sun filled days,
of such joy and laughter
Reigning our days – nights

These memoirs never fade
Akin to haunting my soul
Listening to the beloved
As his whispers approach,
soothing the ache within

Time passes so swiftly by
As days, turn to months
Almost a year now passed
Still my heart calls to you
My muse – My inspiration

With every passing moment
My thoughts resides in you
As I pick up the pen to bleed
Spilling unto page, my soul
Residing in every line writ
