Fire & Ice

                                                            Image Provided by Google

Fire resides in my essence
An all-consuming flame
Burning deeply in the core
Awakened by only one
The soul’s desire of love
Never thought to be found

Though I may yearn for Ice
Freezing the root of my heart
To no longer feel, such sadness
Which fill these days – nights
In knowing, it shall be pointless
Missing you, my love, ceaselessly

The heart cannot hold boundaries
There can be no going back in time
Once awakened, it shall never die
Amid this silence, an absolute trial
To subsist with the passing of days
Longing the return of loves embrace

Sliding Through Your Fingers Like Liquid Gold – Collaboration with Starr Poetress

                            Image Provided by Google

I pray timelessly, that I have the strength to tell you how I feel,
Yet I fear at times that I cannot do so
I am almost scared to approach you,
It is not that your person repulses me
I cannot believe, you can truly see “me”

Given all that resides within and then some,
nothing can ever be good enough for you
As I pour out my emotions here – there
Yet, you are nowhere near, to be found
I once thought if I had the perfect piece,
you would look at me differently
Knowing now I was wrong – lost in translation

It was never your words that attracted me,
though they did not hurt, but appease
It was never your body that fascinated me,
though I would love to be pressed up against you
It was your loving eyes, that melted away barriers
How they revealed things, you thought I would never know

Yet, you still cannot see the real me, exposed for all to see
I have been in front of you all this time, calling without end
Yet, I am nonexistent, words be just another set of words
As they bleed, as I continue to press pen unto page,
in every piece writ in blood, I really wonder if you read

Feeling as if my voice slides through your fingers,
like the liquid gold of my heart pouring off of you
Do you see me, can you hear me from afar,
or am I just another fan addicted to you
I really do not know the answers,  but I beg it be different,
at least what I know to be true, is what resides in my heart

His Promise – Collaboration with Starr Poetress

                              Image Provided by Google

I look to the heavens above in prayer
As I felt in heart, all hope was lost
The sadness that consumed me
Brought me falling to my knees
Pleading for a sign of grace
Searching - listening for a clue
As a voice came to answer

He said, “Look to your sisters”
They love you unconditionally
When all hope seems gone,
they will give you a hand
Transfer their strength to you,
whether you need it temporary
or need it for eternity

Astonished by the voice
I wonder in if it is a dream
A delusion of the mind
Of an angelic response,
to appease the ache within
Asking in search for answers,
for the reasons to such adversity
In return I hear the voice anew…

I place each one in your life to help you,
in love, loss, happiness, and in strife
So next time you have doubts,
like today, drop to your knees
Giving me a shout up above,
as I know sometimes it seems hopeless
A feeling that should never exist
I have placed each person in your life,
in purpose to teach lessons to guide you happily
Though some may hurt physical or emotionally,
they will make you stronger, wiser to cause
That my daughter, my child I promise thee...

I know now, I am not alone as I take heed
To the knowledge and love bestowed,
within the message to the answer
Knowing that with every tribulation
I grow stronger, more compassionate
To the pleas and cries of another
Gifted by the grace of enlightenment
In a world where madness and mayhem,
rule the days and nights in utter chaos
Only love is the solution to salvation
A most prized treasure to accomplish
As in my essence I emerge into light

The Gift of Love - A Collaboration With Poet Chris Smith

                       Image Provided By Google

There was once a time,
It feels so very long ago
When I believed I could face
Whatever the world threw at me
But of late, I find myself
Feeling rejected and so alone
Trying to seek out a purpose
A reason for me to carry on

The words seem to be endless
To write these pieces from my soul
I realize I am never alone anymore
For there are others who find the way
Writing the words to heal thy self
It makes me feel a little stronger
Because someone understands me
A colleague, a mentor, a friend

It is this place where I find solace
Even as the days, go by in sorrow
In every gesture, I am overwhelmed
With the love bestowed timelessly
A gift I treasure with all my heart
Even though many are miles apart
A godsend in times of this darkness
As the light shines to brighten days

No words shall ever be sufficient
So to express the gratitude I feel
Of all that resides within my soul
Blessed to have such undying support
In dire times of need and desperation
Bringing me new-found perception
In a global bonding of friendship
Transcending in endless devotion

Sorrow

                     Image provided by Google

An engulfing sadness
Consumes the core
These days – nights
Leaves my existence
In a state of unrest

Restless thoughts
In flashback fashion
Leaves me breathless
Exhausted to extension
On a quest for the light

The warmth of the sun
Brightening these days
Lost amid the darkness
Roaming ceaselessly
Grasping onto faith

I gaze upon the stars
Searching for a clue
Listening to whispers
Of the nights calling
Entranced by the moon

I fall back within silence
Wishing upon a star
To bring me home anew
Seeking solace unto soul
Awakening all that resides

As the heart beckons
For the barer of the key
Opening the pathway
Where happiness reigns
In the arms of one love

Capture this notion
Of ecstasy – true bliss
Once partaken – divine
Transcending barriers
No other can surrogate

Without End

                          Google Images

As the night slowly descends
All thoughts reside in you
Staring into the eyes of love
Losing oneself in its depths

I look upon a beloved smile
So gentle, soothing the soul
In times of need – serenity
As it warms the heart
A tranquil state of being

With one touch of grace
Blessed by the comfort
Of those arms
Bringing me home anew

My vision once dreamed
In a crossing of paths
Never thought to be found
As minds-eye, correspond

I love and will forever love
The soul’s counterpart
A completion of the spirit
Serendipity – without end

Betwixt a dream – revelation
Written in the stars above
Beckoning unto the other
Through the nights calling

Decay

Google Images

Overwhelming emotions take hold
These never-ending days – nights
Suffocating the core of existence
Trapped by the hands of insanity

Silenced tears befall the soul
Gazing into the imagery of decay
Beyond the power to control
Following the path of empathy

Drained be all the serenity within
Numb, a hallow shell one becomes
Finding the strength here – there
Even as the fates, conspire endlessly

The ultimate challenge unto oneself
Grasping onto hope of better days
Captured in the arms of the beloved
Stripping away all the sorrow within

Now deeply rooted inside the heart
As the infernal merry-go-round
Spins and spins, spiraling down
Upon trial and tribulations of life

At the hands of mercy – forgiveness
The mother now becomes the child
Robotic movements – a mere puppet
Ruled by the twisted call of destiny

Patience, the key to endurance
Even in the retreat of silence
Be there no provisos to define
The horror engraved in mind

Angelic Tears - Collaboration with Starr Poetress

Google Images

 “As angels may have fallen
Crippled be their wings
Yet, they rise to a calling
As the heart and soul sings”

One may often find a riddle
As the pen presses unto page
Spewing forth within passion
As words, commence to pour

Bestowing upon all imagery
From the depths of the soul
Through a creative stance
A tell-a-tale fashion in view

After falling so many times,
Angels no longer walk the earth,
As they spiral further down,
They are not one of a kind,

The ones they always loved,
The ones they always protected,
Now finding them lost amidst the garden,
Shot be their hearts, in the hunting of the dove,

Their passion became anger,
Their anger became passionate,
They bleed their ink on processed wood,
Yet, it only seeped through as no one heard,

Showing the imagery of love they once knew,
Their soul has blackened as the depths of Hell,
So the blessed ink ran dry, lost in despair
The once coveted heart withdrew into air

Through the darkness, they seek the light
In hope to redeem with all their might
All that is lost, in expectation to be found
Before all that once was falls to the ground

“Hear as they sing such sorrowful melodies
As tears, commence to fall ceaselessly
Marred are now their souls to have fallen
Succumbing to the grace of loves calling”

The Edge of Reality

Google Images

Reality stood
Looking back
At the ashes
Of what was left
From the ruins
Of existence

The rage within
Unleashes the fury
Upon the impious
As they dare to defy
Wreaking havoc
Unto innocents

Mistress Death
Stood there laughing
As she boiled
The heads of
A billion dead
Forgotten alien souls

A forewarning to abide
Never to cross the line
As my wicked nature
Brings forth a wrath
That shall strike
When least expected

Immortal beings can cry
In their damned isolation
When everything ends
They will still be there
Never feeling tranquil
Only knowing obscurity

A lonely life this can be
Immortality with a price
Roaming ceaselessly
Among the mortal realm
In the shadows of night
Waiting to rise again

I must yield to you
To your touch, dear sister
All things must face Death
She is a patient mistress
My time has come, Reality ends
Death now must walk alone

In the cover of darkness
I have long searched
To quench this hunger
Be there no end in despair
Now alone on this quest
In the coming of the undead

Breathing Strength ( A collaboration with Karen Dewitt DepthWriter)

Breathing Strength

Cerebral embody;
floss themselves against the Ptolemaic universe
bedevil the esoteric ballot; each its coherent utters
White book of the aorist... before you or I were calved

Recollections amid past and present unfurl in bedlam
Distortion of memoirs, in insightful stillness intricate
As it commences to weigh profoundly within awareness
Cutting the vein wide open, in a pouring of bloodless ire

Waddling from the agrarian, tossing beard to the hymnbook
engorge thy being, graft its answer, unmoving, doesn't bide
Dewy lives abbreviated into depth-less cesspool’s; atrocious
deteriorating to the apocalyptic carpeting

A living death; a comatose induction, anesthetizing the misery
Seclusion from the impious, formations of obstruction in labor
Fraught; In the central point of the stage, where non-existence
Takes hold; beseeching mercy in attempts to elude and escape

Flesh-less article's desist tomorrow, clout each atom; aphoristic
Its bellow affect the antre; embossed in your chaplet- the hereat
When, their alto's are deflated, bottled up...abstract, tears fall
through balconies infinite, to berth bleak; a curse you auteur

Seized in a bottomless pit, cat-like claws tear at the confines
Intensifying as the weakness, becomes the strength of courage
Defying the wrath of a nightmare that no longer shall ensnare
Character of resilience amid the tempest, in defiance of nature

Poets Round Table No. 272 ~ People As Crazy As Me

People As Crazy As Me

I started out innocently, going out on the prowl,
In search of kindred spirits, fellow night owls;
Always last to call it a night, throw in the towel;
Never a shortage then of people as crazy as me.

the nights were only stolen kisses and fireflies
the moon was half-obscure and we were always wise
the stars were just our passions burning in disguise
back when I dreamed everyone was as crazy as me.

Always playing games like "swinging statues" in the dark,
Never been the same as being together in the park,
Only to see the sunrise to the singing meadowlark,
Being sixteen, with someone as crazy as me.

sneaking out the window after setting sun
jumping to the truck and whispering "shotgun"
beelining to the bushes into which we would run
reveling in the company of others as crazy as me.

Escapades of wild nights, hanging with friends
Going to nightclubs and bars, until night ends
Partying, dancing, running carefree in trends
Just chilling around, with friends as crazy as me.

Throwing ball in the street every hot summer night
Playing kiss-and-make-up after each stupid fight
Caution tossed to the wind, it'll turn out alright
I miss the days when life was as crazy as me.

Tears of A Wreckage

      Google Images

(A Collaboration with Author Karen Dewitt)

I traveled from the impassioned residue
in a beautiful confusion, in a stupor to the effects
my eyes withdrawn by the act of hatred

In pursuing this course of action, I set myself free
Unwilling to partake in these circumstances
As I look to make amends and be at peace in mind

I felt the mental imagery of lineage caducous; all the colors dark
its ego ship wrecked on naked pristine beaches- covered in diamonds
The pain of heartache within the depths of soul-less sink holes
pride had been left behind...

The chaos of reactions, so unjust that it pierces the resilience
Leaving behind in the aftermath of destruction, desolation
Haunting be these never-ending days, as within the spirit
It refuses to fade away…

In all its perturbations- the pavement disintegrated
- each step closer I came to you
Still the heart pulsates- the after-math ruined by the raging fire,
the beauty
lacking palms to aid the unfortunate person
the holocaust egresses from the hostility bath

Lost inside the imagery, played time and again in mind
The heart beckons for release from these chains, weighing
me down, in a deep desire to break free from these torments
When the darkness consumes, eating the essence in the core
Dragging me in the undertow of the current, from the wreckage

I stepped out from my mind- now a dignified spirit strolling the land
in a luscious contusion, in a splendor to the ambiance
these skies sullen with sorrow, by the act of fearful tongue

Thus, here I linger, walking eternally amongst the shadows
Broken beyond repair, as memories perturb ceaselessly
Now bloodshed tears commence to fall in profound silence

Tango

(A Collaboration with Cherry Rose)

Take the lead within this dance
Hold me tightly, flesh-to-flesh
As we now commence, the tango

Your body taut, feeling every move
Dancing to the freedom, in poetry
In each tantalizing shift on the floor

Held inside the depths of your mind
A pause amid, the depth of those eyes
Lost within your dark, hypnotic gaze

Entrancing me into your divine stance
In a torrid love affair, lost in these arms
Taking hold of the mind, this body – soul

Thoughts controlled to extension in dance
Captured time and time again, in rhythm
Moving in tune to the melody, of this love

So close, I inhale the breath you exhale
Creating magic, making my mind sway
Wrapping, my heart around your essence

From a place that moves my soul, into yours
We now become one, to the harmonic lyrics
Both our spirits soar, in delightful creation

Only you and I can hear the tune in our hearts
As we dance under the mystical, magical moon
Getting lost within each other’s, deep embrace

Nothing external, in the sphere we now behold
May ever separate our beings, co-existing in time
Oh my love, you and I are destined to become one

Enraptured in this sublime piece of music – dance
A lover’s tango that takes us on a journey of bliss
Held hostage with each – every move of the body

Timeless

(A Collaboration with poet Cherry Rose)

A heart that beckons
Calling out a name
Time and time again
A love that surpasses
The essence of being

This yearning so strong
No longer can one deny
Reaching out – touching
The core of his existence
Through silent whispers

Two spirits that have met
Feeling each other’s heart
Speaking through thoughts
Holding on to each - other
Locked in a warm embrace

The serenity of such a love
Bringing forth “eudemonia”
A state of complete bliss
Engraving the heart – soul
Everlastingly without end

Though one’s eyes have not met
Your love, is light as a feather
It caresses me as it slowly falls
Into the sweet depths of my mind
Bewitching every cascading notion

I lay here catching the falling star
That brings you into my dreams
This distance cannot keep apart
When two souls are destined to be
As it, be written in the stars above

Come now and tread the unknown
Fearless we now stand in freedom
Removing every shackle that bind
Taking flight, soaring in sensation
Of a love so timeless – unbounded
