Devastation - Collaboration with Poet Chris Smith

The tears came for me today,
like barbed wire kisses,
ripping through the flesh.
Memories of a destiny faded

Fate showed a painted smile,
of how times have now changed
Only that I stay the same, still
Trapped on this merry go round

Days go by in flashback fashion
When words bleed within passion
Yet, these times have gone astray
The skies with no hue, rule the day

Every sunrise consumes the essence
Envisioning the sublime magnitude
Of the radiance, that sears my flesh
Perpetually engraved are these scars

Can you hear the voiceless screams?
The heart exploding of hope – dreams
As bloodshed, tears commence to fall
Ceaselessly in the deafening “silence “

Can you feel the warmth of my touch?
Or the singed fingers of intense agony
Coldness is all that's left within heart
Of this once, proud soul filled with love

No one knows this hidden pain, in sight
This wanting, the need to trust anew
But the heart keeps bleeding eternally
Leaving me to suffer, alone in awareness
