Losing My Mind

                  Image Provided by Google Images

Lost within a loving memory
I often find myself off course
In the depths of the minds-eye
Hoping to find a new pathway

Though boggled up – confused
As to where to go – move on
When the sun no longer shine’s
As now, darkness befalls the days

Be there no smiles of yesterday
To brighten the cold winter days
Becoming numb slowly within
Freezing the core, to feel no longer

Basic instincts commence to build
An invisible shield of own creation
Attempting to appease the anguish
Growing steadfast in the essence

However, one may long for happiness
As it is out of reach – nowhere found
Only to find peace within set limits
As the night, little by little descends

Lost I am without my love – my beloved
Be it the one thing that pulls me through
Worthy of importance in darkened times
Known that destiny shall rule days ahead

Even though I may be drowning in silence
In the loss of my heart’s desire – one love
Since first sight, setting the soul on fire
Awakened once through visions revealed

Only the beloved, holds the power to awaken
The core of this existence – come alive anew
No other can replace, nor possess the power
To breathe life, make one blossom in flower

My destiny, My muse, My one inspiration
It is for you my heart calls out for, cries for
Throughout a lifetime within revelations
Knowing you exist, a missing piece of soul

Very romantic and gothic. The horror of insanity peers through these lines of begging. The forlorn lover must be locked inside of a damp, dingy, stone castle of some uncharted moor. Exquisite.
