Fully
awake – eyes open
At
the break of dawn
The
ray of light shines down
Another
day comes forth
Relentless
and merciless
As
the sorrow deepens
A mourning unlike, another
A
loss, yet not a loss – gone
Silently
the heart is breaking
Be
there no reason to smile
Days
– Nights, all the same
Long
gone, miles away
A
distance painfully etched
“Mea
culpa”, this I know
Memoirs,
call through time
One-step
forward, a chance
Two
steps back, withdraw
In
all that is well-known
In
a world I love, my haven
This
impenetrable barricade
In
exception to only one soul
Dare
to define these emotions
Unleash
them in a love so pure
As
peace sets into our essence
The
smile never fading
Those
soulful piercing eyes
Penetrating, make-shift barrier
Where
does one go from here?
Beneath
moonlit skies, waiting
A
calling, a whisper – a voice
In
the final hour, known is love
By
no means subsiding, over
Awakened,
only to drift in time
