Desolation

                                Google Images

Happiness at hands reach
Amid all I dare desire
As bliss should reign
These days and nights
As trials are overcome

The completion of oneself
In awareness of mind, soul
Yet, an emptiness so vast
Continues to swell in heart

A missing piece – puzzled
As time has yet to unravel
Obscured be ones path
Which the road to travel

Kindred to an hourglass
Slowly passing – draining
At a standstill, I succumb
In silence, becoming numb

Mea Culpa shouts within mind
Once held captive – so sublime
In an instant, lost in moments time
An eternal void, nothing can fulfill
